Birthday Rock Star

My niece and God Daughter's birthday is on Christmas Eve and the Sketch 220 at Mojo Monday http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2011/12/mojo-monday-220.html was a perfect fit for what I had in mind.

I used the set Live Life Loud by Gina K, illustrated by Tami Mayberry.  Stamped the drum set with Versamark and heat embossed with black ep.  The dot pattern across the bottom is Ribbon Stipes, also by Gina K.  Added silver metallic gel pen dots to the open scalloped circle.  I found the pink polka dot paper ribbon tape at TJ Maxx.  This came together very easily.

Thanks for taking a look!

Treat Cans

Our local scrapbook store had these cute little mini paint cans on sale and I couldn't resist.  They are going to be filled with M & Ms for my grandsons.
The challenge at Touch Twin Markers is "Furry Friends"  http://touchtwinchallenges.blogspot.com/2011/12/ttc07-touchtwin-marker-challenge-part-1.html

I got these cute little stamps at Walmart last year.  The images are colored with Touch Twin Markers.  The bear was cut out and layered onto the green cs, the moose has paper pieced leg warmers which are also heat embossed with red ep.  The papers and ribbons are from my stash and the pennant paper tape on the bear can was found at TJ Maxx.  The dp was adhered to the cans with red sticky tape and pieces of ribbon tied to the handle.

Rock Star

My middle grandson turns 6 next week and he is definitely a Rock Star!  The sketch from Mojo Monday
http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2011/12/mojo-monday-219.html  was the perfect layout for the image I wanted to use on his card.

Funny, I just realized that I used the same colors from the sketch sample.  I used Gina K's set Live Life Loud by Tami Mayberry, one of my favorites.  Stamped the guitar in VersaMark and heat embossed with black ep, then stamped the gradient rectangle with Vivid Cobblestone over the guitar.  Colored with Prismacolor green marker.  Stamped the partial sentiment with Brilliance Galaxy Green for some shimmer and punched the star out of silver glitter cs that was on sale at Michael's last week.  The border was stamped with VersaFine Onyx.

Another Tag

This is my version of Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of Christmas - Tag 10  http://timholtz.typepad.com/

The tag was sponged with Old Paper distress ink, stamped with archival black ink.  Then the pine branches were stamped with Pine Needles distress ink then sprayed with Gold Glimmer Mist.  I had a little problem with the ornaments drying, then finally decided to use double sided tape.

Tim Holtz Inspired

I've been playing along with Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of Christmas  http://timholtz.typepad.com/.  I just love his creativity.  Here are a few tags that I have made.

I didn't have the snowman die, so I stamped the snowman from Gina K's Winter Friends on the back side of my Grunge Paper which was painted with white acrylic paint dabber and cut it out.  Covered with Crackle Accents then sponged with Distress Inks when it dried.  The flourish border is cut from acetate and sponged with the white paint dabber.  Added Stickles to his hat and bottom.

This one uses Gina K's Tree Silhouettes and Vintage Borders.  The sentiment is done in emboss resist and is by Studio G.  The small branches are by Inkadinkado.

I don't know who the flourish background is by, I've had it a long time and it's unmounted.  The candlestick is a combination of stamps from Gina K's Lovely Shelf with the branch punches by Martha Stewart.

Check out Tim's blog, he has some pretty amazing creations.
