Just Us Girls Photo Week

Love this fun photo that Vicki has chosen as our inspiration for Photo Week at Just Us Girls!

This is Stephanie Severin's last week with us as our Guest Designer.  Thank you Stephanie for joining us this past month and sharing your great designs!

I attempted to use all of the elements from the photo.  The kraft background was embossed with a large dotted embossing folder and used the negative side and filled in the dots with a gold metallic gel pen.  Heat embossed the banner with green ep, cut it out and added the baker's twine.  Stamped the Gina K Lovely Labels with Delicata Gold ink and die cut.  Stamped the shamrock from Gina K's Square Pegs using my Misti, it was inked 3 times to get great coverage, die cut with a circle die and layered onto a green circle die.  Added the sentiment on the little fishtail die cut and a strip of green striped patterned paper.

Show us how this photo inspires you and you could become our next Chic of the Week!  Each month we then vote on all of the Chic's to choose our next Guest Designer and that could be you!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls Color Week

Lisa has chosen some beautiful colors to inspire us for Color Week at Just Us Girls!  Love the soft colors paired with the bold navy.

Back with us this week as our Guest Designer is Stephanie Severin!  Be sure to check out what Stephanie and the rest of the fabulous JUGS team have done with these colors.

I used all of the colors on this.  I just bought this fun stamp - Arty by KaiserCraft - on clearance.  Stamped it in Memento Nautical Blue on Gina K Soft Sand and filled in a couple of the open blocks with a pink gel pen.  Added some gray striped patterned paper and a banner die cut in gray.  Die cut the happy 3 times with navy cardstock and covered it with some clear Viva Decor Paper Pen.  Birthday is stamped in Memento Nautical Blue.  Layered onto some navy and a kraft base.

I really liked this combo so I made one more without any pink.

Now let's see how these colors inspire you and you could become our next Chic of the Week.  And if you are chosen as our Chic of the Week, you could become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

As soon as I saw this sketch, I knew I wanted to make a shelf with shoes!  I stamped and embossed the shoes in black, gray and cream then cut them out to mount on the shelves.  The fun red shoes would definitely cure anyone's blues!

Check out what the STAMPlorations Design Team has created using this sketch and the fabulous STAMPlorations stamps!

Just Us Girls Trend Week

Ina is challenging us this week at Just Us Girls to use burlap on our creations.  I am really loving this burlap trend.

Come see what our Guest Designer,Stephanie Severin and the rest of the JUGS girls have created with burlap.

Stamp set is from Gina K - Funny Farm.  Stamped the pig and colored with Prismacolor Markers, then cut him out.  Die cut a rounded corner square out of the card base and die cut the frame from Dark Brown Bazzill cardstock.  Mounted the burlap to the opening, and added the pig and Stickled heart.  The burlap I used is paper backed by DCWV.  Used a dotted score tool for the scored lines and drew on faux stitches with a red gel pen.  The sentiment is stamped in Memento Espresso Truffle.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which in turn will make you eligible to be our next Guest Designer.  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls Word Week

Cheryl's word for our challenge this week at Just Us Girls is "Love".  This is so appropriate for right now as many of us are making Valentine's to send to our loved ones.

Please join us in welcoming our February Guest Designer - Stephanie Severin!  Come see how the rest of our talented Design Team was inspired by Love.

I used my new lattice cover plate over some tiny hearts patterned paper.  Die cut the large heart from some striped patterned paper and stamped the flourish from Autumn Leaves and sponged some deeper red ink around the edge.  Die cut the LOVE strip, covered the letters with clear Viva Decor Paper Pen and added a stitched rub on.  I am giving this to my hubby for our anniversary.

Come and play with us at Just Us Girls and show us how you are inspired by LOVE.  You could be chosen as our Chic of the Week and that would give you a chance to be chosen as our April Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to only 3.

You're Still Hot!

As soon as I saw the theme for CASology this week, I knew exactly what stamp I wanted to use!

And the theme at Simon Says Stamp is Bright and Beautiful

Simon Wednesday Challenge Blog

Well, the colors are certainly bright and I think fire is beautiful!
I inked up the flame image several times with yellow, orange and red inks, thanks to my MISTI this was much easier to do, even though it took me several times to get something I was halfway happy with.  The flame was then covered with some clear Wink of Stella and the sentiment stamped in Versafine Onyx.  Added a couple strips of washi tape and adhered to some Gina K Tomato Soup cardstock and done!  The inside says "but now it only comes in flashes".

Thanks for stopping by!
