Reverse Confetti Sketch

Using the sketch from Reverse Confetti Sketch for You to Try

I used the Reverse Confetti set - Color Me Happy.  Used orange ink for the background swash of color and heat embossed the hello in blue.  The blue polka dot layer is a piece from my stash printed from Mel Stampz.  Added a scalloped edge and layered onto a scalloped circle.

Just Us Girls #382 - Photo Week

It's my turn to be hostess at Just Us Girls for Photo Week.  I'm about ready for winter to be done and the tulips to be blooming!

It's our last week with Michele Greenwood as our February Guest Designer and I would like to thank her for sharing all of her amazing designs with us this past month!  Now let's see what Michele and the rest of the Design Team have created at JUGS have created with this photo as inspiration.

I used a very old SU set of 2 step flowers and stamped with Altenew Crisp inks in shades of red.  Then to add some snow effect, I spritzed the panel with some clear shimmer mist.  Adhered this to the gray polka dot layer to portray the gray clouds that bring the snow.  Added a few drops of Nuvo Jewel Drops in Grey Mist.  This was really hard to get a good photo of so the tulips in the top photo look a little brighter than in real life.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would put you in the running for a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #381 - Color Week

It's Color Week at Just Us Girls and Judy is our hostess and has chosen one of my favorite color combos - Red, Black and Kraft!

Michele Greenwood is with us again this week as our February Guest Designer.  Come on over to the JUGS Challenge Blog to see what Michele and the rest of The Design Team have done with this color combo.

Die cut the large heart, ran it through a woodgrain embossing folder and lightly inked with kraft ink.  Added the die cut heart strip and the sentiment, from Altenew.  The striped background is a free download from Mel Stampz.

Now it's your turn to come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible for a chance to be our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Love Sketch

I used the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch! for yet another valentine card.

Stamped the little falling hearts from Altenew with Memento Love Letter ink on the pink panel.  The circle with the hearts is from Gina K and was heat embossed with black ep, then stamped with Versamark on red cardstock and heat embossed with clear ep and cut them out and placed on the circle.  The sentiment and die are from Reverse Confetti stamped with more Memento Love Letter ink.

Old Bird Birthday

Using the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches

And the theme from The Male Room - Numbers

I love this cranky looking old bird from Inkadinkado- Bird Assortment.  Stamped and colored the grumpy cardinal and added the sentiment, lining it up on my MISTI.  Adhered some orange and yellow washi tape to some white cardstock and die cut the little fishtail pieces and added behind the panel.  The numbered background is from a pack of pre-folded cards that I have had forever.  It was square and I cut it down to A2 size.

Sketches

Playing in a couple of sketches today.
First is Freshly Made Sketches

The strips from Reverse Confetti - Color Me Happy were stamped with Altenew inks in the Rose Petals cubes.  The heart and sentiment are from Gina K.

The next sketch is from CAS(E) this Sketch

The sentiment and the neon inks are from Hero Arts and the dots and swirlies are from Ellen Hutson's Bokeh Dots.  Used gel pens to color in the dots on the sentiment.

Both of these cards were so quick and easy.

C is for Captain America

Cardz 4 Guyz challenge this week is Something Beginning with C

Cardz 4 Guyz Logo

This is for my grandson who loves superheros, especially Captain America.  I searched the internet for free coloring book pages to print and found this guy.  Printed it on Gina K white cardstock and colored with Prismacolor markers.  Cut him out and placed him on the white die cut oval and layered onto another die cut from navy/stars cardstock, another freebie from Mel Stampz.  I added some clear Sakura Stardust gel pen to the star on his shield.

So glad you stopped by!
